- Select several companies to research. You may work with a partner, but each of you must keep your own transactions on a spreadsheet. Select Resources to research companies and follow your stocks. You must buy 10 stocks and sell 2 stocks each day.
- Enter your transactions on your spreadsheet. We will review formulas. Remember, when you buy a stock you add the broker's commission to the purchase price (debit). When you sell a stock (credit), you subtract the commission, since the broker does not return his/her commission to you.
- At the end of the third week, you will sell all stocks, formatting in red all those transactions where the selling price is lower than the original purchase price.
- Create one PowerPoint slide that presents your results to your classmates.
Make sure you include any economic, international, or national events that might have affected the stock market during the time of your investments.
