The small building
attached to the tower is not large enough to have been the keeper's
quarters, but one of the two large buildings nearby was.

NEAT CHARACTERISTICS: Despite the fact that
these USCG facilities have been abandoned for many years, they remain in
remarkably good condition. Members of the Middle Island Lighthouse
Keepers Association are responsible for that, as they maintain this
still active light. They hope to turn the keeper's quarters into a
