This summer, the Chippewa Hills Food Service team once again demonstrated their commitment to our students and families through the Meet Up and Eat Up program—a free food pickup that provided breakfast and lunch for all children 18 and under.
Thanks to their tireless efforts, we are proud to share that over 96,376 meals were served across our community during the summer months.
The success of this program would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our Food Service team. From early mornings spent preparing meals to long afternoons handing them out with a smile, this group went above and beyond to ensure that no child went without a healthy meal—even when school was out.
"Our Food Service team truly embodies what it means to care for the whole child," said Food Service Director Deb Champagne. "Their commitment makes a real difference for families in our district."
The Meet Up and Eat Up program is part of a statewide effort to provide nutritious meals to children throughout the summer months when school cafeterias are closed. By participating, Chippewa Hills is helping bridge the gap and support student well-being year-round.
We are deeply grateful to our Food Service staff for their hard work, long hours, and big hearts. Their service is an example of the Warrior spirit in action—caring for kids, families, and community.
