📢 What is an EDP? And How Does Xello Help? 🎓
Parents, have you heard your student mention their Educational Development Plan (EDP) but aren’t quite sure what it is? We’ve got you covered!
An EDP is a roadmap for students, helping them explore careers, set goals, and plan for their future—whether that’s college, trade school, the military, or the workforce. It’s a tool that grows with them as they discover new interests and skills.
At Chippewa Hills, we use Xello, an engaging online program that helps students:
✅ Explore careers that match their skills & interests
✅ Set academic & personal goals
✅ Plan high school courses that align with their future plans
✅ Learn about college, apprenticeships, and job opportunities
Xello is used throughout middle and high school, and students update their EDP regularly as they grow and their goals evolve.
High school parents: EDPs are due by March 27! This is a great time to sit down with your student and go through their Xello profile together. Ask about their goals, explore career matches, and help them choose next year’s classes!

Our High School Counseling Office is also available to answer questions!

1️. CHSD App & Website: Get the latest updates on closures or delays posted directly to our app and website as soon as decisions are made.
2️. Text Alerts, Phone Calls & Emails: We’ll send notifications through our school messaging system. Make sure your contact information is up to date!
3️. Social Media: Follow us on Facebook for real-time announcements of closures and delays.
4️. Local TV & Radio: Tune in to local news stations for broadcast updates:

🦷 Smiles on Wheels is Coming! 🦷
No need to wait months for a dentist appointment—Smiles on Wheels will be at our High School and Mosaic School on Monday, March 10 to provide FREE dental services, including cleanings, sealants, and more, right here at school!
This service is completely optional, but if you’d like to participate, make sure to fill out the attached consent form.

🔹 February is School-Based Health Centers Awareness Month! 🔹
Did you know that students in our district have access to healthcare right at school? The Chippewa Hills Wellness Center, located within the Chippewa Hills secondary complex, is open Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM and provides essential medical services, including:
✅ Sick visits & injury treatment
✅ Sending medications
✅ Sports physicals & well-child visits
✅ Health education & Medicaid enrollment
✅ And much more!
Plus, the Warrior Wellness Center offers in-school counseling and mental health services to support student well-being.
The Chippewa Hills Wellness Center is available for ALL Chippewa Hills students. For appointments, call 989-967-2290. Please know that we will never treat your child without your consent—consent forms are available in your child’s school office or on our website here: https://www.chsd.us/page/wellness-center. Consent forms are also available within the CHSD app under District > Documents & Forms.

Chippewa Hills schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21 due to cold temperatures. Little Warriors will remain open. All athletics events and practices scheduled for Tuesday will be cancelled. All events scheduled for today will proceed as planned. Stay safe and warm, Warriors!
