Has your elementary student ever wanted to pie a principal in the face? Do you want an opportunity to mingle with the new Weidman Elementary principal? Do you like to support teachers? If you answered yes to any of those questions, this activity is for your family!
Weidman Elementary is participating in the Back to School Bash: Pie A Principal event! Come to the Island Park South Pavilion between 6 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. on August 12th (TOMORROW). Have your student(s) fill out a ticket with their name on it and drop it in Mrs. Jorgensen's bucket. Stay until 8 to see if your child gets to pie Mrs. Jorgensen in the face! If we have the most tickets in Mrs. Jorgensen's bucket, we can earn the grand prize for teachers at our school! If you cannot stay for the entire event, that's okay! Even just stopping in and filling out the ticket and mingling for a little while will help us earn more tickets to help our teachers. Hope to see you there!

The Michigan Department of Education is inviting students to take part in the Michigan Teacher Appreciation Video Project, and we’d love to have some Weidman Warriors participate!
Students can record a short 15–30 second video sharing something positive about a teacher who has made a difference in their life. These videos may be featured by MDE during Teacher Appreciation Month in May!
What to include in the video:
Student's first name and grade
Teacher's Name and school name
A specific reason they appreciate their teacher
Lots of smiles and positivity!
Videos can be recorded on a phone and submitted using the link or QR code on the flyer.
