🎖️ Honoring Our Heroes at Weidman Elementary 🎖️
Yesterday, our students proudly celebrated Veterans Day with gratitude and respect for the men and women who have served our country.
In honor of our veterans, students made thoughtful gifts that were delivered to the VA Medical Center in Clare, the VFW Post in Mount Pleasant, and several local assisted living homes.
Yesterday, Weidman hosted a Veterans Day assembly, where students invited veterans who are special to them. During the assembly, students learned how to properly fold the U.S. flag, read heartfelt poems, shared the meaning of Veterans Day, and sang “God Bless America” and “God Bless the USA.”
We are so proud of our students for showing such kindness, patriotism, and appreciation for those who have served. ❤️🤍💙
