✨ Fancy Manners & Valentine’s Day Fun in 4th Grade! ✨
Ms. Panozzo’s 4th graders at Mecosta Elementary celebrated Valentine’s Day in style with a manners-themed party! Students dressed their best and learned how self-care habits—like personal grooming and making healthy choices—can help build confidence and make special occasions even more enjoyable.
The library was transformed into an elegant restaurant, with parents serving as waitstaff while students enjoyed healthy fruit and yogurt parfaits. To be served, students had to use their best manners—making for a fun (and fancy!) learning experience!
A big thank you to Ms. Panozzo and our amazing parent volunteers for making this special day possible!

📢 Attention Warrior Families! 📢
Due to the snow day on February 17, we will have an early release day on Monday, April 21 to allow for staff professional development.

🌾🐑 Happy National Ag Teacher Appreciation Day! 🌱🚜
Today, we celebrate the incredible ag teachers who plant the seeds of knowledge and help students grow in and out of the classroom! From hands-on lessons in the barn to leadership opportunities in FFA, they inspire the next generation of farmers, scientists, and agricultural leaders.
A huge thank you to our Chippewa Hills Ag Teacher, Jessi Spry, for her hard work and dedication to our FFA and ag programs! Thank you for sharing your passion for agriculture with our Warriors!

📢 What is an EDP? And How Does Xello Help? 🎓
Parents, have you heard your student mention their Educational Development Plan (EDP) but aren’t quite sure what it is? We’ve got you covered!
An EDP is a roadmap for students, helping them explore careers, set goals, and plan for their future—whether that’s college, trade school, the military, or the workforce. It’s a tool that grows with them as they discover new interests and skills.
At Chippewa Hills, we use Xello, an engaging online program that helps students:
✅ Explore careers that match their skills & interests
✅ Set academic & personal goals
✅ Plan high school courses that align with their future plans
✅ Learn about college, apprenticeships, and job opportunities
Xello is used throughout middle and high school, and students update their EDP regularly as they grow and their goals evolve.
High school parents: EDPs are due by March 27! This is a great time to sit down with your student and go through their Xello profile together. Ask about their goals, explore career matches, and help them choose next year’s classes!
Need help? Students can access Xello anytime through the Student Resources section of our website: https://www.chsd.us/o/chhs/page/counseling-office-student-resources.
Our High School Counseling Office is also available to answer questions!

Due to road conditions, Chippewa Hills Schools will be closed on Monday, February 17. The Little Warriors program will remain open. Stay safe, Warriors.

Happy National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day!
Today, we proudly recognize Deputy Jason Losinski from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Department for his dedication to keeping our Warriors safe! Officer Losinski is more than just a protector—he’s a mentor, a role model, and a trusted presence in our hallways.
From ensuring school safety to building positive relationships with students, Deputy Losinski goes above and beyond every day. Thank you for your commitment to our Chippewa Hills community!

🎉 Another Big Win for Chippewa Hills FFA! 🎉
A huge congratulations to Evelyn Young for her outstanding performance at the FFA Regional Creed Contest! She earned a gold rating and placed 3rd, making her the Region’s alternate for State!
Even more impressive? Evelyn was the ONLY 7th grader competing against 8th and 9th graders—and she still held her own among the best! 💪👏
We are so proud of her hard work, dedication, and passion for FFA. Great job, Evelyn, and way to represent Chippewa Hills!

🎨✨ A Special Gift for Our Warrior Artists! ✨🎨
Mrs. St. John's high school drawing students received a wonderful surprise—art supplies they get to keep! These supplies were purchased with scholarship money from the Jenine Stickler Memorial Group Fund, provided by the Wheatland Music Organization, continuing Jenine’s legacy of supporting local young artists.
With these new tools in hand, our students can bring their artistic visions to life both in and out of the classroom. We can’t wait to see what they create!
A heartfelt thank you to the Jenine Stickler Memorial Group Fund and Wheatland Music Organization for making this possible for our Warriors! ❤️💙

REMINDER: Friday, February 14 and Monday, February 17 are early release days for students! The High School, Middle School, and Mosaic School will be released at 12 PM. Elementary Schools are released at 12:15 PM.

Chippewa Hills Schools are closed today, February 13, due to inclement weather. The Little Warriors program will remain open. Stay safe, Warriors.

✨ Warrior Spotlight: Shining a light on staff doing great things ✨
Welcome to the Warrior Spotlight – a new series where we shine a light on the amazing things our staff are doing across Chippewa Hills. Staff members are encouraged to share the positive actions, big or small, that they see their colleagues doing to make a difference in our schools and community.
Our first Spotlight is on Holly Holmes, our incredible Weidman Elementary Secretary! She manages students, parents, and endless paperwork with enthusiasm and grace. As the first friendly face people see when they walk through the doors, Holly sets the tone with her positivity and energy all day long. One of her colleagues called her “the heartbeat to Weidman Elementary!”
Her dedication and can-do spirit make Weidman a brighter place every single day. Thank you, Holly, for everything you do! ❤️💙
