A HUGE thank you to our amazing Barryton Elementary community! Last week our Barryton Elementary Confetti Club held a week-long canned food drive to support families in need this holiday season. Thanks to the generosity and kindness of our students, families, and staff, over 2,640 food items were collected! Yesterday our Confetti Club members helped to load up all the donations and deliver them to Our Brother’s Keeper in Big Rapids, which is an emergency shelter for those who are experiencing homelessness. A big shout out to the Barryton Elementary Confetti Club for making this possible! The Confetti Club works to sprinkle kindness like confetti throughout the school community. Let’s continue to spread kindness and compassion all year round! Great job, Confetti Club!

REMINDER: Wednesday, November 27 is an Early Release Day! The Middle School and High School will be released at 12:00 PM. Elementary Schools will be released at 12:15 PM.

A huge round of applause to 7th grader Will Cucksey and senior Mariah Farrell for taking home the top prizes in our Veterans Day writing contest! The writing contest was sponsored by the Mecosta Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Students were invited to write an essay, poem or letter on the following topic: Reflection the freedoms you value most and how they are protected by veterans’ sacrifices.
