Our Warrior Wellness Center is seeking volunteers to serve on its Community Advisory Council!
The Community Advisory Council is made up of parents, school staff, healthcare professionals, social workers, and more! This group oversees the vision and goals of our school wellness program. Council members are only required to attend a minimum of 2 meetings per year.
If you’re interested in joining the Community Advisory Council, please attend the next Council meeting on Wednesday, May 29 at 3:15 in the High School Media Center.
If you’re unable to attend the meeting in person, please email qgriffin@dhd10.org for a link to attend the meeting virtually.

The survey is being administered by the Michigan Association of School Boards’ Executive Search team on behalf of CHSD and takes about ten minutes to complete. Anonymous individual responses will be combined with those from today’s meetings with stakeholders to provide important community input to the Chippewa Hills Board of Education as it seeks to identify the best candidate for the superintendent position.

The Warriors won the Ithaca invite today shooting a season low 317! We finished with 4 of the top 10 with each earning a medal.

Congratulations to our Warrior Athletes of the Week, Clay Farrell and Arianna Todd!
Clay has been putting in the work as a sprinter on the track team, and it paid off this weekend at the Shepherd Invitational. He had a huge PR in the 100m dash, clocking in at 11.72 seconds and taking 6th place, and he was the only freshman in the finals. He also ran the anchor leg in two of the sprint relays for the Warriors.
Arianna Todd is also an outstanding sprinter for the track team. Not only is she extremely successful on the track, but also in creating an environment for her teammates and team to succeed as well.

This week’s Middle School Athletes of the Week are Nate Edwards and Paige Donovan!
Nate Edwards is an outstanding middle-distance runner on the track team. At last week’s home meet he finished 1st as part of the 4x800m relay and took 2nd in the long jump.
Paige Donovan is a new hurdler for the track team. She started racing in the hurdles only 2 weeks ago and has already become one of the top 10 hurdlers in our league. She ran the 200m hurdles for the first time at the Alma Panther Invitational and placed 7th out of 31 overall.

REMINDER: Friday, May 10 and Monday, May 13 are Early Release Days. The High School and Middle School will be released at 12:00 PM. Elementary Schools will be dismissed at 12:15 PM.
We're making up a number of games this week due to cancellations earlier this season. With all of the schedule changes, we thought it might be helpful to share an updated Athletics schedule for this week.
Congratulations to Frankie Fall, our Middle School Athlete of the Week! Frankie took first in all three of her events at the Alma Panther Invitational last Friday, earning gold medals in the 200m hurdles, high jump, and as a member of the 4x200m relay. She is a team leader who demonstrates consistent hard work and sportsmanship to her teammates.

Congratulations to Gage Holton, one of our Middle School Warrior Athletes of the Week! Gage is a sprinter on the Track team and finished first in the 100m dash in the first two meets of the year. He is working hard both in the classroom and on the track.

Austin DuBois is one of this week’s Middle School Warrior Athletes of the Week! Austin runs a wide range of events on the track team and is crushing it in the 55m hurdles, 200m hurdles, and as a member of the 4x400m relay team! She shows tremendous leadership for the team and has an outstanding work ethic.

Congratulations to Jordan Hansen and Brayden Hunt who both signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the University of Olivet! Jordan will be playing basketball and Brayden will play football for the Comets.
