Each month, CHHS recognizes students from each grade level who stand out through their hard work, positive attitudes, leadership, and kindness toward others. Congratulations to our September Students of the Month!
Freshman – Evelyn Young
Evelyn was selected by her teachers for being a hardworking student who brings a positive attitude to school each day. She is always willing to help others, works hard in the classroom, and is known for always having a smile on her face.
Outside of the classroom, Evelyn stays busy with several activities. She enjoys riding horses and is a member of the Chippewa Hills Equestrian Team, is an active member of FFA, and competes in pole vault for the Track & Field team.

Sophomore – Elliot Burlak
Elliot was selected by his teachers for being a hardworking, responsible, and respectful student who consistently shows kindness to those around him. He is an active participant in the classroom and can always be counted on to engage, contribute, and put forth his best effort.
Outside of the classroom, Elliot enjoys drawing and is involved in several activities at Chippewa Hills. He is an active member of Writing Club, Quiz Bowl, Robotics Club, and Orchestra.

Junior – Emmett Newcombe
Emmett was selected by his teachers for being a hardworking and engaged student who is always willing to lend a hand. He actively participates in class, puts forth consistent effort, and has been recognized for helping other students get the materials they need to be successful.
Emmett is also a member of the Varsity Football team. Outside of school, he enjoys watching movies, spending time with friends, and going fishing.

Senior – Olexa MacKenzie
Olexa was selected after being observed going out of her way to help a freshman who was struggling to carry their belongings at lunch. That simple act of kindness reflects the leadership, compassion, and willingness to help others that Olexa brings to Chippewa Hills each day.
Olexa is highly involved at CHHS, serving as President of the National Honor Society and Senior Class President. She is also a member of Student Council, the Mecosta County Youth Advisory Committee (MCYAC), and the Varsity Soccer team.

⭐ Gavin Tapper – 12th Grade
Gavin is recognized for being a polite, hardworking student with a consistently positive attitude. He is a member of “Blood, Sweat & Gears,” our High School Robotics Team. In his free time, Gavin enjoys nature walks, hiking, and collecting and listening to music.
⭐ Konner Cyphert – 11th Grade
Konner was selected for his active participation in class, responsibility, and commitment to understanding his work. He enjoys drawing and playing video games, is a member of the Dungeons & Dragons Club, and has an interest in participating in e-sports.
⭐ Silas Pearce – 10th Grade
Silas is recognized for his excellent academics, responsibility, and respectfulness. He enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, cooking, playing video games, and hanging out with friends.
⭐ Caroline Slebodnik – 9th Grade
Caroline was chosen for being hardworking, conscientious, dependable, and respectful. She is a member of the Chippewa Hills High School Band and enjoys swimming.

Prom night is almost here! Juniors and Seniors are invited to an unforgettable evening on Saturday, May 2 from 7-11 PM at the Little Flower Barn in Lake Isabella.
Hosted by the Class of 2027, this special night is all about celebrating, making memories, and enjoying one of the highlights of the high school experience.

Marissa is recognized for being kind, positive, and hardworking. She is a member of the High School Band and plays volleyball. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with friends.
⭐ Helena Clark – 11th Grade
Helena was selected for her great attitude, strong work ethic, and dependability. She consistently challenges herself to improve. Helena participates in basketball, track, and volleyball, and is a member of FFA. She enjoys hunting and traveling.
⭐ Adrianna Laansma – 12th Grade
Adrianna was nominated for consistently demonstrating the WARRIOR attributes in all that she does. Outside of her schoolwork, she enjoys creative outlets like art and music, as well as spending time with her family.
