Chippewa Hills is proud to share that we are one of just 11 schools statewide to receive a Glassbrook Grant from the Michigan FFA Foundation!
For more than 30 years, Glassbrook Grants have supported schools across Michigan by helping bring agriculture, food, and natural resources education to life for K–12 students through hands-on learning opportunities.
Our agriculture teacher and FFA advisor, Ms. Spry, applied for the grant, which will be used to purchase new fencing, gates, and materials for our Ag barn, enhancing real-world learning experiences for our students.
Congratulations, Ms. Spry, and thank you to the Michigan FFA Foundation for investing in Chippewa Hills and supporting agricultural education!

🎉⚾ Congratulations, Coach Wright! ⚾🎉
Warrior Nation, please join us in congratulating Coach Ben Wright, who was inducted into the Michigan Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame today!
This well-deserved honor recognizes Coach Wright’s years of dedication, leadership, and lasting impact on our Warrior athletes.
A true Warrior legacy. Congratulations on this incredible honor, Ben!

But don’t worry—we’ve still got some festive cheer to share! Swipe through for a few snapshots of this year’s decorated trees.
A huge thank you to all the groups who decorated a piece of our trail and to all the folks who joined us last weekend for this year’s inaugural event! We can’t wait to see you all next year for another magical stroll through the lights! ✨

Wishing all our students, staff, and families a season full of joy, love, and laughter. Have a wonderful Holiday Break and we’ll see you back at school on Monday, January 5!

🤼♂️ Throwback Thursday: Remembering Joe Loren, the Heart Behind a Warrior Wrestling Tradition 🤼♂️
Legacies aren’t measured in years — they’re measured in impact.
Joe Loren was a Chippewa Hills wrestler who graduated in 2001. After graduation, Joe gave back to the program he loved, returning as an assistant coach for Warrior Wrestling. He poured his heart into helping athletes grow, strengthening the program, and carrying forward the Warrior spirit.
Tragically, Joe passed away in December 2002 following a car accident. Though his life was far too short, his impact on Chippewa Hills Wrestling has lived on in a powerful and lasting way.
In Joe’s memory, our wrestling program hosts the annual Joe Loren Wrestling Invitational each December — a tradition built on dedication, heart, and community. What began as a tribute has grown into one of the largest and most respected wrestling meets in the area.
🏆 This Saturday, December 20, the Joe Loren Invitational returns at 9 AM in the Middle School gym, welcoming teams from 24 schools. It’s an incredible, high-energy event and a true celebration of Warrior Wrestling.
The tradition has grown so much that it inspired an entire second day of competition:
🤼♀️ The Lady Warriors Wrestling Invitational takes place Sunday, December 21 at 9 AM, also in the Middle School gym — making it a huge two-day weekend for our wrestling program.
Joe’s legacy lives on in every match wrestled, every athlete supported, and every crowd that fills the gym. What started with one Warrior’s love for the sport has become something truly special. We share Joe’s story so newer generations of Warriors can understand the heart behind this tradition.
We invite our community to come out, cheer loud, and help us honor Joe Loren — and the powerful tradition he helped inspire. ❤️💙

Our Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society will be running the Hot Cocoa Bar at the Canadian Lakes Castle this Friday, December 19 from 5:30-8:00 PM for Century 21 White House Realty’s Nights of Lights! In addition to hot cocoa, students will be selling homemade baked goodies and crafts to enjoy as well!
Proceeds from the Hot Cocoa Bar will go toward our Middle School’s participation at the CMU Hoops for Hunger game, a school-wide fundraiser benefiting the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen.
We hope you’ll come out to enjoy Nights of Lights this weekend and stop by to support our Middle Schoolers at the Hot Cocoa Bar!

Our 7th grade students proudly present "The Epic of Gilgamesh!" This performance brings to life the ancient story they studied in Mr. Boyle’s classroom while learning about Ancient Mesopotamia.
The play will be on Thursday, December 18 at 6 PM in the High School Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
Our 7th graders have worked incredibly hard—practicing after school and even during lunch—to prepare for this performance. We hope you’ll come out to support them and enjoy an evening of learning and storytelling brought to the stage! ✨

Tonight!
Join us for a beautiful Orchestra Holiday Concert tonight at 7:00 PM in the High School Auditorium. Our students have been working hard and always put on a truly special holiday performance—you won’t want to miss it!
Tomorrow Night – Wednesday, 12/17
We’re excited to welcome families to the Mecosta Elementary Christmas Concert, also held in the High School Auditorium. Performance times are:
🔹 Kindergarten & 1st Grade: 6:00 PM
🔹 2nd & 3rd Grade: 6:45 PM
🔹 4th Grade: 7:30 PM
We hope you’ll join us to celebrate the season and enjoy these wonderful student performances! 🎄
