This past weekend, 13 members of our High School Student Council represented Chippewa Hills at the Michigan Association of Student Councils (MASC) and Michigan Association of Honor Societies (MAHS) Student Leadership Conference.
Our students fully immersed themselves in leadership workshops, collaborative sessions, and networking opportunities with peers from schools across Michigan. They also heard from three inspiring keynote speakers, and represented our district with attentiveness, reflection, and a genuine eagerness to grow.
This group is excited to bring back fresh ideas, new energy, and innovative strategies as we continue strengthening our school culture and community together. The future of Chippewa Hills is bright, and it’s being led by an incredible group of students!

Today we celebrate an incredible leader during National FFA Week. Happy Ag Teacher Appreciation Day to our very own Jessi Spry! 🌾
Ag Teacher Appreciation Day recognizes agricultural educators and FFA advisors for their mentorship, guidance, and dedication to shaping the next generation of agriculture leaders — and Ms. Spry does exactly that every single day.
Through her leadership, our FFA members gain more than knowledge about agriculture. They build confidence. They develop leadership skills. They learn responsibility, teamwork, and what it means to serve their community.
Her commitment, patience, and passion for students make a lasting impact that extends far beyond the classroom.
Thank you, Ms. Spry, for investing your time, heart, and energy into our Warriors. We are grateful for you today and every day! ❤️💙

🌾💙 Celebrating National FFA Week at Chippewa Hills! 💛🌾
National FFA Week is a time to recognize the incredible work our FFA members do—not just in the classroom, but throughout our community. Our students are learning leadership, service, and responsibility while making a real difference close to home.
Here are just a few ways Chippewa Hills FFA is giving back this year:
♻️ Pop Tab Collection for Ronald McDonald House
Students are collecting pop tabs to support Ronald McDonald House, which provides a no-cost home-away-from-home for families with children receiving medical care. If you have pop tabs, please bring them to the ag room and help support this wonderful cause!
🛣️ Adopt-A-Highway Service Project
Last summer, members cleaned our 3-mile stretch along M-66, collecting 10 bags of trash and helping keep our community safe, clean, and welcoming.
FFA is about more than agriculture—it’s about building leaders, serving others, and growing strong communities. We are proud of our Warriors for living out these values every day!

❤️🩹 Health Care That Meets Students Where They Are 🩺
February is National School-Based Health Care Awareness Month, and we’re proud to highlight the Chippewa Hills Wellness Center, a tremendous resource that brings care directly to our students.
Operated in partnership with District Health Department #10, the Wellness Center provides medical and mental health services right here on campus for Chippewa Hills students ages 5–21.
In a rural community like ours, where the nearest health services can be 30 minutes away, having access to care at school helps families avoid long drives, missed work, and lost class time — while ensuring students stay healthy and ready to learn.
The amazing team who run the clinic are:
🔹 Ashley Bewell, Mental Health Counselor
🔹 Krista Schafer, Clinic Assistant
🔹 Beckee Kibler, Family Nurse Practitioner
Getting started is easy! Just call 989-967-2290 to make an appointment. More information about the Warrior Wellness Center is available here: https://www.chsd.us/page/wellness-center
We are so grateful to have this caring team and valuable partnership to support the health and well-being of our Warriors every day! ❤️💙

🌟 National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! 🌟
We are proud to honor Deputy Ethan Beebe of the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Department for the care, commitment, and positive presence he brings to Chippewa Hills each and every day.
Deputy Beebe does far more than help keep our schools safe — he builds meaningful relationships with our students, supports them through everyday moments, and serves as a trusted mentor throughout our buildings. His impact continues beyond the school day as the JV Girls Basketball Coach, where he works tirelessly to encourage, guide, and connect with his athletes both on and off the court.
Thank you, Deputy Beebe, for investing in our students, our schools, and our community. Your dedication makes a difference, and we are grateful to have you as part of our Warrior family. 💙❤️

🎥 From the classroom to the Board room.👏
Our 8th Grade Digital Media students had a special feature at Monday night’s Board of Education meeting!
The students created a video explaining the purpose of the Board of Education and how our district operates — from the communities we serve, to the number of students and staff in our schools, and how leadership flows from our staff to the Superintendent and ultimately to the Board.
We couldn’t be more proud of these students and the incredible job they did on this video! Excellent work, Warriors! 💙❤️

🧑🎨 French class meets creativity! 🎨
Students in Mrs. Kremsreiter’s high school French 1 class took their learning beyond the textbook with a Mardi Gras–inspired project. After researching a French-related topic, students designed and built shoebox floats that reflect French culture, traditions, and their own creativity.
Some of their creations include:
✨ Strasbourg’s Christmas traditions
✨ Marie Antoinette
✨ Les Schtroumpfs (The Smurfs!)
✨ Mont Saint-Michel
✨ Kylian Mbappé
This project brought together cultural learning, critical thinking, and hands-on design. We’re loving their finished projects!
C’est magnifique!

🐑❤️ Meet Ruby — Our Newest Little Warrior! 💙🐑
We’re excited to introduce Ruby, the newest addition to our Agriculture and FFA program! Ruby made her debut last weekend in the Ag Barn and has already completely stolen our hearts.
Ruby’s mom, Willow, is doing a wonderful job, with a little extra help from her Ag student caretakers. With her teeny-tiny mouth, Ruby initially had a bit of trouble latching on for feedings, so she’s been receiving some supplemental bottle feedings — which our Ag students were more than happy to help with. (Any excuse to spend time with Ruby is a good one! 🍼)
Even before Ruby arrived, Willow had some extra help during last week’s snow days — with Ms. Newman’s dog Louie and Ms. Spry’s dog Bernie tagging along for barn check-ins. 🐾
We’re happy to report that Ruby is doing much better now, bonding beautifully with her mama Willow and her “Aunt” Dolly, the other ewe in the barn.
Welcome to the Warrior family, Ruby! 🐑❤️💙
