All proceeds benefit the Chippewa Hills FFA program and supports FFA students with college scholarships and opportunities to attend the state and national FFA Convention! Alumni wins National Title, becomes All-American! Former Chippewa Hills Trap Shooter and 2021 alumni Jonathan Calabrese competed at the ACUI/SCTP Collegiate Clay Target National Championships March 19-23 in San Antonio, TX. After a week of competition his team, the Hillsdale Chargers, brought  home the Division II National Title. 1,150 athletes from 107 colleges competed in the tournament. 34 states were represented. Individually, Jonathan earned gold medals in 3 disciplines: American Trap, American Trap Doubles, and Super Sporting Clays. He tied for 6th place in tournament overall, earning 1st Team All American Honors. Jonathan is currently a junior at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI. Congratulations to our Warrior Wrestling State Champion, Natalie Gibson, who was honored at last night’s Board of Education meeting! Coach Vogel shared with the Board how Natalie pinned all four of her opponents at the State Finals so quickly, that she was technically in action on the mat for only 5 minutes and 55 seconds in total for the whole weekend! Way to go, Natalie!

Our March Board of Education meeting will be tonight at 6:00 PM in the High School Auditorium.

Artworks in Big Rapids is hosting their Art Attack Exhibit featuring art created by students from our area schools! Come check out the original pieces from 20 of our Warrior artists at the Art Attack Exhibit Opening Reception this Sunday, March 10 from 11am-3pm. Artworks is located at 106 N Michigan Ave in Big Rapids. All artists, parents, students, and community members are welcome to attend!

The Board of Education meeting for Monday, March 11 has been moved to the High School Auditorium. The meeting will begin at 6:00 PM.

The green bus (22-1) from Weidman is running late. It was having mechanical issues at the school. A replacement bus is on its way to pick up students.

Neighbors need neighbors to make a difference. When you donate blood, you can help save a local patient’s life and give hope to that patient’s family. Accident victims, premature babies, and patients who need blood transfusions to stay healthy are counting on kindhearted people like you. Our High School National Honor Society is partnering with Versiti Blood Center of Michigan to host a blood drive on Monday, February 26 from 8 AM – 2 PM in the High School Gym. Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to participate. Homemade cookies, snacks, and drinks will be provided to all donors. Chippewa Hills Drama Club presents: The Great Nursing Home Escape, a one-act comedy by Nathan Hartswick. Performances will be held on: - Thursday, February 22: 6:00 PM - Friday, February 23: 6:00 PM - Saturday, February 24: 1:00 PM & 6:00 PM. Performances will be held in the High School Auditorium. Admission is $5, children 10 and under are $2. We look forward to seeing you there!

Chippewa Hills School District is required to provide 30 hours of professional development (PD) to our teaching staff. Our January 15, 2024, PD was canceled due to weather, along with school that morning, for all staff and students. This situation requires us to make up the time to ensure our staff receive the required amount of hours for PD. March 4, 2024, will be the newly scheduled make-up day for PD with students in attendance the first half of the day. The district appreciates your accommodation to this calendar change as we fulfill our obligations to the state and meet the needs of our staff. Thank you for your understanding.
