Our Middle School Honor Society will be running the Hot Cocoa Bar at the Canadian Lakes Castle this Saturday, December 2 from 5:30-8:30 PM for Century 21 White House Realty’s Nights of Lights! In addition to hot cocoa, students will be selling homemade baked goodies to enjoy as well! Proceeds from the Hot Cocoa Bar will go toward our Middle School’s participation at the CMU Hoops for Hunger game, a school-wide fundraiser benefiting the Greater Lansing Food Bank. We hope you’ll come out to enjoy Nights of Lights this weekend and stop by to support our Middle Schoolers at the Hot Cocoa Bar!

Did you know that every two seconds somebody in the United States is receiving a blood transfusion? The holidays are traditionally a difficult time for blood centers to collect enough blood to meet demand. To help fill this critical need, our High School National Honor Society is partnering with Versiti Blood Center of Michigan to host a blood drive on Thursday, December 7 from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM in the High School Gym Lobby. Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to participate. Christmas cookies, snacks, and drinks will be provided to all donors. To patients relying on donated blood, there is no greater gift this holiday season.

Save the date for the Chippewa Hills Band Boosters' Craft & Vendor Show on Saturday, December 9! Shop from over 80 vendor booths featuring wood crafts, sweet treats, glass decor, candles, soaps, jewelry, and more! Triple C Concessions Food Truck will also be onsite. There's something for everyone and this show is always a huge hit with Holiday shoppers! You won't want to miss it!

The wreaths from our Middle School wreath fundraiser will be available for pick up this Friday, the 17th! They can be picked up at the Middle School from 3:00-5:30 PM. Please pull up to the front entrance and we will come out and deliver your order. Thank you so much for your support in making our wreath fundraiser a success!

Tomorrow is our Middle School’s Veteran’s Day Celebration! Please join us in honoring all who served at a special celebration with our Middle School and High School students. All veterans are welcome to join us for refreshments at 1:30 PM and a special recognition ceremony at 2:00 PM. Students may invite a beloved veteran in their life to attend as their own special guest and can join their veteran for refreshments before the assembly. This event will be held in the Middle School gym, so please park in the Athletics parking lot behind the Middle School near the gym entrance. We look forward to seeing you there!

Congratulations to Geryl Lobert for being honored with this year’s Ray H. Lawson Award from the Michigan Council of Teachers of English! Geryl teaches high school English and was chosen for this award for her exemplary leadership within the profession and earning the respect and admiration of her peers and students alike. Please join us today for the Chippewa Hills Wellness Center’s Community Advisory Council meeting! The meeting will be from 3:30-4:00 PM in the High School Media Center. The council is made up of community members, parents, school staff, healthcare workers and more, and helps to oversee the vision and goals of the school’s wellness program. We hope you’ll join us!
