🐑✨ Exciting News from the Ag Barn! ✨🐑 We are thrilled to announce that we now have sheep in our Ag Barn! Thanks to the generous help of Mr. Steve Beattie, a retired agriculture teacher from St. Louis, we’ve welcomed these wonderful ewes to our school. For years, Mr. Beattie has shared his sheep with schools like Alma, Breckenridge, and Ravenna to enhance Ag education, and we’re lucky to carry on this tradition! Currently, Ms. Spry’s 8th grade agriculture students are diving into the world of sheep, learning all about nutrition, record keeping, and the care of these animals. Everyone is especially excited for the upcoming lambing season, which should be happening in just a week or two! 🐑💕 The sheep will be with us here at Chippewa Hills until spring break, after which they will return to Mr. Beattie’s farm. A huge thank you to the FFA and FFA alumni for their help and support with this amazing hands-on learning opportunity!

REMINDER: Monday, January 20 is an early release day for students! The High School and Middle School will be released at 12 PM. Elementary Schools are released at 12:15 PM.

Attention 8th Grade Parents! It’s time to plan for high school! Join us for an important parent meeting on Thursday, January 30 to kickstart your student’s journey to high school. The meeting will be held in the High School Auditorium at 6:30 PM. This meeting will cover high school class options and course pathways, key deadlines and requirements, and provide tips for a smooth transition to high school. Don’t miss this chance to get all your questions answered and help your student prepare for this next big step. Let’s make the high school planning process easy and exciting together!

Next Wednesday is our Hoops for Hunger field trip to CMU! In order for your student to attend, permissions slips must be submitted by a parent/guardian by Monday, January 20. Just a reminder that 7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball begins tomorrow! Practice will be from 3:15-5:15 PM in the Middle School gym. Athletes MUST have a physical on file in order to participate in practice.

Good afternoon! Our Poppin’ Popcorn fundraiser orders should be delivered by the end of the day today! We will sort through them tomorrow, and they should be ready for pickup on Thursday! If students have a small enough order, we will just send it home with them. Orders that are too large to be carried will need to be picked up from the Middle School office on Thursday or Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
