Homecoming 2025 was one to remember, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the energy, support, and spirit of our entire Warrior family. From the support at the parade to the packed stands at the football game, we are so grateful for the students, families, alumni, staff, and community members who came out to celebrate and show what Warrior Pride is all about.

We’ve heard some questions and concerns about the upcoming 2025 bond proposal, so we wanted to clear the air. Here’s a quick look at a few common myths—and the facts you need to know.
❌ Myth #1: This bond will raise my taxes.
✅ Fact: Not true! The bond is a zero mill increase, which means the tax rate will stay at 2.41 mills—still one of the lowest in the area. The way our current debt is structured allows us to address important facility needs without increasing your tax rate.
❌ Myth #2: Rising property values mean I’ll pay more.
✅ Fact: Property values are set by your local government, NOT the school district. While adjusted property values can change the dollar amount you pay per mill, the bond itself does not increase the tax rate.
❌ Myth #3: The district can use bond money for anything it wants.
✅ Fact: By law, bond funds must be used strictly for facilities and infrastructure, not for salaries or operating expenses. This includes:
• Renovating classrooms and updating HVAC systems
• Improving safety and security, like secure entrances, updated locks, and modern fire alarms
• Expanding gym and community spaces
We hope this clears up some of the confusion! The 2025 bond proposal is about making our schools safe, modern, and welcoming spaces for students while also providing community benefits.

Our Chippewa Hills Equestrian Team earned an impressive 4th place at Regionals this past weekend! Freshmen Madilynn O’Neil and Tessa Ziegler represented the Warriors with amazing rides throughout the competition.
The Regionals are part of the Michigan Interscholastic Horsemanship Association (MIHA), a nonprofit that promotes horsemanship education, interscholastic participation, and adult-supervised coaching for students in grades 5–12. Competing against 29 other teams at the Midland County Fairgrounds, our Warriors showcased their skill, dedication, and love for the sport.
We are so proud of our riders’ hard work and want to give a special thank you to the coaches, parents, and sponsors who make the Equestrian Team possible! ❤️💙
Each month, as part of a special classroom project, Mrs. Tice’s 2nd graders at Mecosta Elementary receive cards from their Community Buddies to encourage and inspire them. Last week was Mail Day, and the smiles said it all! Students couldn’t wait to open their envelopes and read the kind words written just for them.
We are so grateful for Mrs. Tice's thoughtful classroom tradition, which reminds students that they are supported, cared for, and celebrated by our amazing community. 💙❤️

We have some adorable news from our FFA Broiler Project — baby chicks have officially arrived! Students in Mrs. Spry’s High School and Middle School Agriculture classes are caring for them as part of their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). It’s hands-on learning at its best.
They’re raising these chicks to learn about growth tracking, proper feeding, hygiene, recordkeeping, and more. This isn’t just about chickens — it’s about responsibility, science, economics, and seeing how work turns into results.
Yesterday was National #TeachAg Day — a day to celebrate amazing Ag teachers across the country. We’re so grateful for Mrs. Spry and all she does to bring agriculture to life for our students!
Let’s give a cheer for these chicks, our FFA students, and Mrs. Spry! 💙❤️

Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office takes all threats seriously and will remain on scene until the investigation and search are concluded.
The Class of 1975—the very first Warriors to attend Chippewa Hills High School for all four years after the high school opened in 1971—is celebrating their 50th Class Reunion during Homecoming Weekend, September 26–27.
They’ll be joining the Homecoming festivities on Friday, Sept. 26, then gathering for a reunion dinner on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 5 PM at Tally’s Bar & Grill in Lake Isabella.
This milestone is more than a reunion—it’s a reminder of our rich Warrior history and the generations who have walked these halls for over half a century. ❤️💙
Here’s to 50 years of friendships, memories, and Warrior pride—congratulations, Class of 1975! We look forward to seeing you at the Homecoming Game next week! 🏈🎉

🍎 A Huge Thank You to Our Food Service Team! 🍎

Because of their incredible dedication, we are proud to share that over 96,376 meals were served to children in our community this summer!
We are so grateful for the hard work, long hours, and big hearts of our Food Service team. Their commitment to caring for kids ensures that no child goes without a healthy meal—even when school is out.
