Ryleigh Allen, 12th Grade
After arriving on a free trip to Paris, Ryleigh says the first thing she would do is visit the Eiffel Tower! Her favorite winter movie is The Polar Express and her favorite thing to do during winter is to go snow tubing. Her dream vacation would be a trip to Italy!
After graduation, Ryleigh plans to attend Ferris State University to earn her degree in Professional Golf Management.
Ryleigh is a member of the Girls Golf team and is currently the most decorated golfer in Chippewa Hills history.

Avelina Hollandsworth, 12th Grade
If she won a free trip to Paris, Avelina says the first thing she would do is have a fancy brunch in front of the Eiffel Tower. Her favorite winter movie is Home Alone and her favorite winter sport is basketball. Her dream vacation is to take a long road trip visiting and hiking all the National Parks.
After graduating high school, Avelina is attending Michigan State University to become a veterinarian.
Avelina is actively involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, Cross Country, Basketball, Bowling, Track & Field, and the Mecosta County Youth Advisory Council.

Carlie Smith, 12th Grade
The first thing Carlie would do on a free trip to Paris is to eat a baguette while looking at the Eiffel Tower. Her favorite winter movie is Christmas Vacation and her favorite thing to do during winter is sledding. Carlie’s dream vacation is to travel around Europe.
After graduation, Carlie plans to go to college to study pre-medicine and eventually become a radiologist.
Carlie is involved in many extra-curriculars including Band, Track & Field, Robotics, Quiz Bowl, National Honor Society, Student Council, and is a Senior Class Officer.

Marcus Barnes, 12th Grade
If he won a free trip to Paris, the first thing Marcus would do is buy a baguette! His favorite winter movie is Elf and his favorite thing to do during winter is play basketball. Marcus’ dream vacation would be to take a trip to Hawaii.
After graduating high school, Marcus plans to attend Michigan State University to pursue a degree in Information and Computer Science.
Marcus is a member of the Warrior Basketball and Golf teams.

Jordan Hansen, 12th Grade
The first thing Jordan would do on a free trip to Paris is go see the Eiffel Tower! His favorite winter movie is Home Alone and his favorite thing to do during winter is play basketball. Jordan’s dream vacation is a trip to Hawaii!
After graduation, Jordan plans to go to college for a degree in Sports Management and wants to play college basketball.
Jordan is a three-sport athlete, playing basketball, bowling, and baseball for the Warriors.

Gage Saathoff, 12th Grade
If he won a free trip to Paris, Gage says the first thing he would do is buy a baguette! His favorite winter movie is Frozen and his favorite winter sport is basketball. Gage’s dream vacation would be to go on an elk hunt in Montana!
After he graduates, Gage plans to attend Ferris State University to pursue a degree in Construction Management.
Gage is a four-sport Warrior athlete, playing football, basketball, bowling, and baseball.

The Snowball King and Queen will be announced at the Snowball Court Ceremony during halftime of the Varsity Boys Basketball game tomorrow night!

Our annual Elementary Night Basketball Game is next Friday, February 16! All Chippewa Hills elementary students and their families receive free admission!
We have lots of fun planned for our elementary Warriors, including popcorn, face painting, game sign making, and a chance to get autographs and pictures with our Warrior basketball players!

Mariah Farrell
If she won a free trip to Paris, Mariah says the first thing she would do after arriving is take a nap! Her favorite winter movie is Holiday in Handcuffs and her favorite thing to do during winter is to lift weights. Her dream vacation would be visiting Croatia or Iceland.
After she graduates high school, Mariah would like to go to college to study creative writing.
Mariah is a Junior Class Officer, member of both the Writing Club and National Honor Society, and is a Warrior athlete doing both sideline cheer and softball.

Jacob Simon
Jacob says the first thing he would do on a free trip to Paris is to visit the Eiffel Tower. His favorite winter movie is The Day After Tomorrow and his favorite thing to do during winter is to go sledding. Jacob’s dream vacation is a trip to Costa Rica!
After he graduates high school, Jacob wants to go to college in the Upper Peninsula and study biology.
Jacob is a Junior Class Officer, member of National Honor Society, and runs cross country and track for the Warriors.

Kade says the first thing he would do on a free trip to Paris is to see the Eiffel Tower! His favorite winter movie is The Santa Clause and his favorite winter sport is basketball. A visit to the Bahamas would be his dream vacation!
When he graduates high school, Kade wants to go to college to get his teaching degree.
Kade is also a member of the Warrior Basketball team.

After high school, Maddie would like to attend the University of Michigan and play volleyball.
Maddie is a Warrior Volleyball player and is a member of Student Council.

Just a reminder about our High School Band Concert this weekend! Our Band always puts on an amazing show – you won’t want to miss it! The performance is Sunday from 2-4 PM in the Middle School Gym!
Here are the dress up days for Snowball Spirit Week!
Monday: Grout Day. Wear all gray to match the gloomy, gray weather of Winter in Paris.
Tuesday: Stoplight Day. Announce your relationship status in stoplight fashion! Red = Taken. Yellow = It's Complicated. Green = Single.
Wednesday: Sweater Weather. No explanation necessary - wear a sweater!
Thursday: Rhyme with No Reason. Partner with a friend to dress as two things that rhyme but have nothing to do with each other. For example, wild west and princess.
Friday: Too Cold Outside. It's cold outside, so dress comfy! Also known as PJ Day.
Students in Mr. Hatfield’s Wood Shop class were pouring epoxy for a dining room table project yesterday. This piece features white oak slabs filled with a chocolate and gold-flecked epoxy center. It will have metal legs that were made in Welding class last trimester. We can’t wait to see the finished project!
Tonight is our 9th Grade Parent Meeting to begin scheduling next year’s classes. We’ll meet at 6:30 PM in the High School Auditorium. See you there!
Hey Warriors, next week is SNOWBALL and we have lots of fun and excitement happening at the High School all week long!
Our Snowball 2024 theme is Winter in Paris. We’re celebrating the season with the city of light, love, and croissants!
Next week is Spirit Week at the High School and we’re having class competitions to see which grade has the most Snowball Spirit! We have themed dress up days planned every day and students can earn points for their class by participating. Each class will also be creating a large sculpture representing Winter in Paris. Friday is the Snowball Assembly featuring fun games and crazy competitions between the grades. Which class do you think will be the winner?
Friday night is the Snowball Game! Our Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball teams will be hosting Grant. The Snowball Court Ceremony will be held during halftime of the Varsity Boys game.
The Snowball Dance is on Saturday! The dance will be held from 7-11 PM in the Middle School Gym and Cafeteria. Tickets will be sold during A & B lunch throughout the week.

Today we are hosting a CSAA Forensics meet at 3:15 PM at the High School!
Forensics is a competitive speech team where students compete in a variety of public speaking events. Events include persuasive and informative speaking, dramatic and humorous interpretation, storytelling, acting, and more. It’s a fun way for students to strengthen their critical thinking, leadership, speech and debate skills!
Teams from Big Rapids, Holton, Kent City, and Lakeview will be joining us for this afternoon’s competition.
